Deputies said they were called to a residence on 46th Avenue North in St. Petersburg shortly before 9 p.m. Friday after someone reported Jane Marie Faulkner, 41, was “beating” another person. The victim said Faulkner was drunk and arguing and during the fight, she hit the victim and smeared dog feces on the victim’s face, according to the affidavit. Deputies said Faulkner admitted to smearing the poop but refused to provide further details about the altercation, records show. She was arrested on a domestic battery charge, according to WKMG.

Over the next 35 minutes, officials said the woman was able to slide off her shoe, manipulate her cell phone and call 911. K-9 Sammy currently serves on the Fair Haven Police Department and has decided to put her hat into the mayoral race. The 6-year-old pure bread German shepherd is a rescue dog and is trained in tracking and drugs. Fair Haven has a town manager; the election of a pet as mayor is used as an annual fundraiser. In 2019, Lincoln, a goat, won the mayor’s seat by only three votes.

The requirements for a chocolate nut bar to make it into the esteemed record book include: 80 percent chocolate and nuts and fit for human consumption. The chocolate nut bar had to weigh at least 220 pounds for the record. With the bar weighing in at 4,728 pounds, it's the biggest bar yet, proving everything is bigger in Texas. The company created the giant candy bar for the Super Bowl.

ASHEVILLE, NC – A couple in North Carolina is building an Airbnb “to rule them all.”Mike Parrish and his wife are building a ‘Hobbit Hole’ home based on the ones in the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” books and movies. It includes a Hobbit Hole’s signature round wood door. “I’m not just a casual fan, I’m a huge fan," said Parrish. "We’re coming up with what we hope will be the coolest hobbit home on the east coast.”The hobbit hole home is expected to be finished in about two months. Parrish and his wife haven’t decided how much they’ll charge per night to stay there.

The deputies responded to reports of a man threatening his neighbors and a mailman. Body camera video shows the man, 75-year-old Walter Hopkins, meet them at the door of his home, holding a knife. The video shows Hopkins tried to attack them with the weapon. One deputy took out his taser, and as he pulled the trigger, Hopkins pulled out a cup of gasoline. The mix of gas and the taser caused Hopkins, the deputies, and the home to catch fire.
